Time Travellers in Ancient Egypt
Year 3 had an amazing adventure at the British Museum as part of our history topic on Ancient Egypt. The trip gave us the chance to step back in time and explore the wonders of this ancient civilisation.
We were especially fascinated by the incredible Egyptian sculptures. From grand statues of pharaohs to intricate carvings of gods and goddesses, each piece told a story and helped us understand more about Egyptian beliefs and daily life.
One of the highlights of the trip was seeing real Egyptian mummies. It was both exciting and a little eerie! We learned about the mummification process and why the Ancient Egyptians took such care in preparing their dead for the afterlife.
Seeing these ancient artefacts up close really brought our learning to life. It was a brilliant way to start our topic and has inspired us to find out even more about this amazing part of history.
