Back to the Stone Age
During our Stone Age experience in the forest school, Year 3 children travelled back in time to explore what life was like for early humans. They foraged for food, collecting berries, leaves, and other natural materials, while also gathering supplies to build shelters and spark fires using flint—just as our ancestors once did. Some children took on the role of hunters, bravely fending off wild animals to protect their settlement. This immersive, hands-on adventure brought history to life, deepening their understanding of survival in the Stone Age through teamwork and exploration.
