GCSE Photography Students Experience a Degree Level Lesson

10 Jun

Today our Year 10 GCSE Photography class had a visit from a former Eastbrook student, Tanis, who is currently studying for a degree in photography at Norwich University of the Arts. Tanis shared his journey from taking his GCSEs at Eastbrook School through to university. He inspired the students to work hard in and out of class, undertake as much independent practice as possible and aim high. Tanis also outlined what projects he has been set at university and a little bit about uni life. The students then appraised his work, demonstrating the knowledge, skills and understanding that they have learnt about key aspects of photography such as composition, lighting and direction. Tanis was super impressed with our students' photography skills and their knowledge, saying: "I'm sure that these students can definitely achieve highly if they continue to work at this level." Thank you so much Tanis for supporting us and, as ever, we are PROUD of our Eastbrook photographers!
