A Hot Take on Art and Fashion

Year 9 future GCSE visual arts students experienced the world of art and fashion during an important educational visit to the new London College of Fashion buildings in Stratford, E20.

The students braved the extreme heat to tour the college and take part in a careers talk and workshop. Did you know that the current creative director of Christian Dior, JW Anderson, studied at LCF? They also met two current LCF students who presented their pathway and enlightened the students about life at the college.

The Year 9s really enjoyed their day and it was a fantastic way to begin their GCSE studies. Well done Year 9s, we are PROUD.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.
