A Creative Contribution to the Arts

DID YOU KNOW? The creative industries contribute over £124b annually to the UK economy. There are around 2.4 million jobs in the creative industries – 46% in London and the South East. The median annual salary is around £39,366, a third higher than the national median.

This summer, Eastbrook students were set a very special summer poster competition to find out about careers available to students, if they enjoy being creative!

Students were asked to research the range of creative careers and create a poster or digital presentation/ reel sharing this information in a creative and visual way. Students were given a booklet with information and links to websites that they could use to find out all about different careers in the creative arts, as well as examples of how to present this information visually.

Here we have two beautifully designed posters - a classic old school poster created as a joint production by Fariza and Ilyeen in Year 9 and an amazing digital outcome by Isaac, also in Year 9.
