Real-World Skills in Action: SEN Pathways Macmillan Coffee Morning
Wow, what an event! Our fantastic Year 10 students in the Alternative Pathway: Preparing for Working Life proudly hosted a Macmillan Coffee (Hot Chocolate!) Event.
As part of their Unit Award Scheme lessons, students first learned how to make the perfect hot chocolate. From there, they designed a plan, created invitations for both staff and students, set up the space, and ultimately ran the entire event themselves.
This experience was not only a brilliant opportunity to raise money for an incredible cause, but it also helped students develop vital organisational, communication, and teamwork skills — all of which will support them as they move toward their post-16 pathways.
The event was a huge success, with both staff and students attending and helping to raise over £150 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
Our students never stop making us PROUD.
