The Great Outdoors
This week our youngest learners have enjoyed an exciting range of activities that support both their learning and wellbeing in their newly developed outdoor area. Children have been busy using the road to ride their vehicles with purpose, exploring the effects of a pestle and mortar on potatoes in the mud kitchen, seeking out mark making opportunities in Eastbrook's mini Halfords, digging and clearing some mud to support Mr Thorn in the construction area, creating poppy biscuits to mark Remembrance Day and practising their Diwali dance moves using ribbons and scarves, amongst many other things. Matas said, “I love learning outside with my friends.” All of the Reception team will continue working tirelessly to create the most amazing space possible for our EYFS pupils. It has been wonderful to see our Reception learners so engaged, enthusiastic, and eager to discover new possibilities in their outdoor environment despite the colder and wetter weather.
