Spooky Season: Creating Cotton Bud Skeletons!

21 Oct

With spooky season upon us, the children have been getting creative with a fun Expressive Arts activity: making their very own cotton bud skeletons!

Using cotton buds to represent bones, the children carefully arranged and glued them onto paper to create their spooky skeleton designs. They explored how the different bones fit together, thinking about the shape and structure of the human body while bringing their creations to life.

This hands-on activity was a fantastic opportunity to develop the children’s fine motor skills, as they practised picking up, positioning and sticking the cotton buds with care and precision. They also used their creativity, concentration and problem-solving skills to decide where each piece should go.

As well as being lots of fun, the activity encouraged the children to talk about their ideas and share their creations. We loved how each skeleton had its own character, making every piece of artwork unique!

We are so proud of the children’s enthusiasm and imagination at the art table this week. Keep an eye out for more exciting autumn activities as we continue to explore, create and learn together this spooky season!
