Pumpkin Sensory Explorers!
Our Reception children enjoyed exploring pumpkins, scooping out the insides and discovering the seeds! Using their arms and hands to scoop, pull and scrape helped develop their gross motor skills and coordination.
The children then explored our spooky sensory tray filled with slimy spaghetti worms and creepy eyeballs! Squeezing, squishing and sorting the different textures supported their sensory development and fine motor skills.
We encouraged the children to use descriptive words such as slimy, squishy, sticky and slippery, helping to develop their communication and language skills.
A wonderfully messy, hands-on learning experience full of curiosity, exploration and fun!
