Petal Mandala Suncatchers

Continuing with their seasonal crafts unit in art, today learners made petal mandala suncatchers. After learning all about mandalas, Eva told us that: "They go in circles" and Hanif remembered that you should: "Start in the middle". Everybody enjoyed exploring different coloured and patterned mandalas and justifying which was their favourite. Then it was time to prepare the resources by carefully removing the delicate flower petals and leaves before the creative fun could begin. Just look at Reception class busy at work!

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff.
