Fun Faces In The Forest
Today, our new Reception students embarked on their first visit to the Eastbrook Forest. As part of their 'Understanding the World' curriculum, they created nature-inspired portraits using treasures found on the forest floor, including acorns, stones, twigs, leaves, and feathers. The resulting artworks were both creative and unique, reflecting the pupils’ curiosity and imagination.
The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate the Eastbrook virtue of teamwork. Before returning to school, students explored the forest to discover and appreciate one another’s creations, offering thoughtful compliments and encouragement as they gazed in awe.
One student, Josephine, remarked with delight: “This face is the best one ever because it has a spiky beard.”
