Wearing Our Jeans to Save Lives

On Friday 19th September, primary students PROUDLY engaged with their first fundraiser of the academic year and wore their jeans to school to support 'Jeans for Genes Day 2025'. This fantastic annual event changes lives for everyone across the UK living with a genetic condition. Eastbrook families gave generously and we raised a very hearty £141 to support their future work. A Reception student said, "I look so smart in my jeans, and I helped to raise lots of money for other people."

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
