PROUD TO BE a Community School

Eastbrook School is always PROUD to celebrate and support our local community. The spring term brought a renewal of this commitment as we collected food for the local community kitchen at Kingsley Hall. Kingsley Hall creates opportunities for local people of all ages to fulfil their potential in educational, emotional, physical, social and vocational health and wellbeing, throughout the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

On the last day of the spring term, Eastbrook secondary students were permitted to attend school in their ‘civvies’ in exchange for an item of food, which was then delivered to the Hall by our Junior Leadership Team. The Kingsley Hall staff were overwhelmed with gratitude, reaffirming our commitment to work with our community partners in supporting those in need.

We are PROUD of our school community for going above and beyond, to contribute towards this worthy cause.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
