Key Stage 2 Super Sports Day

27 Jun

The sun was shining and there was a breeze in the air, it was perfect weather for a sports filled morning! Key Stage Two children worked together in their house teams at a variety of sports races, there was egg and spoon, sprint, bean bag throw, penalty shoot-out, vortex throw, golf target practice, teacher and parent races. Children could earn golden tickets for their team by winning events. Kira remarked that: 'It was fun and I liked how we had to work as a team to earn golden tickets.'

There was an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment, and some of our school virtues were clearly visible; teamwork, zest and perseverance. The children were cheered on and supported by their encouraging parents, carers, teachers and teaching assistants. Everyone received a medal and there was lots of applause throughout the morning. Once the tickets had been counted, it was revealed that team Einstein had won the KS2 Sports Day and Hawking had won the overall school event!

Mrs Nicholas and her sports leaders did an amazing job of leading the races and individual events, we are all PROUD of everyone's effort, triumph and successes on sports day!
