Halloween-Themed Project

Many pupils in the Paragon class are New to English, and they have made excellent progress in their creative writing. As part of a HALLOWEEN-THEMED PROJECT, they explored frightening characters from folklore, books and films, including Dracula, Baba Yaga, Werewolves, Mr Hyde and the Joker.

Using descriptive language, they wrote about each character’s appearance, powers and personality, creating spooky and imaginative pieces. The pupils worked hard to expand their vocabulary and improve their sentence writing. Their confidence in using English has grown, and they should be proud of their creative efforts.

The classroom was filled with Halloween spirit and fantastic storytelling.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff.
