Celebrating Paragon through the Jack Petchey Award

We are really excited to share that one of our amazing Paragon students has won this month’s Jack Petchey Award! The Jack Petchey Foundation recognises young people who work hard, stay positive, and make a difference to the people around them — and our winner does exactly that.

Laura is part of Paragon, our accelerated English course, and she’s shown incredible commitment since day one. She always gives her best, supports her classmates, and brings a great attitude to every lesson. Even when things feel challenging, she keeps going, keeps smiling, and keeps improving. We are so PROUD of everything she has achieved, and this award is a lovely way to celebrate her effort and enthusiasm. Well done Laura - you really deserve it!

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
