Year 9 Students Empowered Against Sexual Harassment in TfL Project Guardian Workshop

01 Jul

On the 30th June 2025, our Year 9 students took part in the TfL Project Guardian workshop, a one-off session delivered by the London Transport Museum designed to raise awareness of sexual harassment on public transport.

The sensitive and engaging workshop helps students understand what constitutes bad behaviour on public transport and the importance of being an active bystander. It also covers the reasons why reporting incidents matters and explains the different ways to report sexual harassment.

An experienced school liaison officer set clear expectations and engaged the students with a range of powerful materials including film clips, real-life stories, and CCTV images. Students had opportunities to discuss their thoughts and experiences.

Student Voices:

"I never realised how common sexual harassment is on public transport until this workshop. Now I know how important it is to speak up or report it." Year 9

"The real stories and CCTV footage made it feel so real. It showed me that even small actions can make a difference if you choose to act." – Year 9

We are extremely PROUD of our well-behaved and engaged Year 9s!
