Teamwork in the Panathlon
Years 5 and 6 were very excited to visit the secondary school sports hall and take part in a Panathalon event, as part of National Panathlon Week! The children were divided into teams and straightaway started competing in the challenges set. Some of their favourite events were curling, table tennis cricket and the beanbag throw.
Each team had 1 minute to score as many points as they could. Some of the children managed to achieve scores in the triple digits -wow! There were gold, silver and bronze medals awarded for the highest points achieved in each year group.
Overall it was a brilliant afternoon with all children demonstrating the school virtues of teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance and resilience. It was a tense and exciting afternoon, reported Jamaal. Lexi said she cannot wait to take part in another Panathlon event!
