NSPCC Numbers Day

06 Feb

On Friday 6th February, the NSPCC National Numbers Day was celebrated at Eastbrook School! Mr. Pasterfield asked children to come into school displaying 100. Some children drew 100 emojis, others drew 100 cats, some counted out 100 pieces of cutlery, others stuck down 100 stars in a 100 outline, there were so many original and creative ways to demonstrate 100!

Children also took part in a trading lesson. They were given shares in 5 different companies for £1 each (Netflix, Space X and Titan to name a few). Children had to trade shares in companies with each other in order to make the most profit. Trading time was limited and after each trading session there were news updates about the companies, which indicated which share prices would rise or fall. The children really enjoyed the game and every team made a profit!
