Fabulous Fourth Day at Trewern
Today, students were keen to go canoeing on the canal; the weather was sunny and warm and it was perfect weather for messing about in boats!
The children quickly learnt how to hold and manoeuvre the paddles, which in turn enabled them to steer the canoes along the water. Much fun was had racing each other's canoes, splashing, counting bridges and watching barges go by. By the end of the afternoon the children were expert canoeists! To end the fun, a canoe was turned upside into a slide and children could have fun sliding down it, into the water!
To end the evening and time spent at Trewern, the children visited the tuck shop to purchase souvenirs and there was a campfire. Whilst watching the fire, they spoke about what they had learnt at Trewern, their favourite memories and what activities they would like to do again.
