Careers Day
Year 6 children came to school dressed for their future careers. There were dentists, nurses, construction workers, nail technicians, vets, company directors, to name a few.
Firstly, the children listened to an assembly focussed on empowerment and options for their future. Children then took part in a series of workshops led by professionals. They learnt how to stay safe in the water by members of Everyone Active, how to take images by a photographer and about future technology from a Fin Tech engineer.
They were enthralled to listen to Mark, a former police commissioner who led on policing for Tottenham hotspur matches and the London 2012 Olympics. He showed them his medals, uniform and spoke about meeting the Queen.
The children were truly inspired by the professionals they spoke to and thoroughly enjoyed the day, that was organised by the Primary Careers Lead – Mrs Lam.
