Year 4 Visit Dagenham Parish Church

25 Feb

Year 4 students recently visited Dagenham Parish Church, a beautiful building that is over 800 years old in the heart of Dagenham Village. The trip linked to their Religious Education learning about Christianity, focusing on places of worship and what Christians believe about Jesus.

While there, students took part in the interactive LIFE Exhibition, which brought their classroom learning to life. The workshops were set up under colourful tents and students moved around different activity stations. They used iPads to complete quizzes, watched video clips and explored stories about the life of Jesus. They also had time to reflect and share their thoughts together in the LIFE Café.

The exhibition helped students understand what Christians believe about Jesus and think about how his teachings still have an impact today.

Our Year 4 students were fantastic representatives of Eastbrook School. Their behaviour was exceptional because they were so engaged and interested throughout the visit. They really showed our school value of being understanding, disciplined and made us all very PROUD.

It was an inspiring trip and a great way to deepen their understanding of Christianity.
