Cultural Week in Year 4 – Che settimana fantastica
Our Cultural Week celebrations are in full swing, and what a brilliant journey it’s been so far. Children have been fully immersed in learning about Italian culture, showing curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm at every turn.
As part of their exploration, Year 4 students have:
🗺️ Ricercato fatti sull’Italia (Researched key facts about Italy)
🎨 Creato le nostre bandiere italiane (Designed and made Italian flags)
🍴 Assaggiato la bruschetta (Tried bruschetta) – featuring classic Italian ingredients such as olio d’oliva (olive oil), aceto balsamico (balsamic vinegar), and pomodori tritati (chopped tomatoes). While not every child enjoyed their first taste of Italy, we were incredibly PROUD of them all for giving it a try and embracing new experiences with open minds.
The children have also been learning the traditional Italian folk song Bella Ciao, developing both their musical and linguistic confidence as they practise singing in another language.
We are PROUD of how our students have embraced this cultural learning and look forward to celebrating not only Italian heritage, but also the many cultures that enrich and represent our wonderfully diverse school community. It has been a joyful, creative and meaningful celebration of global learning.
