Going from Success to Success

21 May

In April, one of our SEN students received deserved recognition for all of his hard work. He has worked incredibly hard during his ELSA sessions focusing on developing confidence, emotional literacy and anger management. In the past year, he has developed and can now implement anger management strategies by himself. He has seen a significant increase in the number of PROUD points he has been awarded. Teachers, support staff and parent have noticed a marked improvement in Ronnie’s emotional regulation and intelligence. His determination and work with Ms. Gibson led him to be nominated for the Jack Petchey award.

It is not only in ELSA that Ronnie has made fantastic progress. In the past year his reading level has increased dramatically. This is a testament to his consistency, determination and enthusiasm. These attributes make us here in the department and the whole school very PROUD of Ronnie.
