Health and Social Care Work Placements in the ARP at Eastbrook School

Year 13 Health and Social Care students have been undertaking work placement in an HSC setting since September 2025. Some students have completed their placement within the school’s ARP, gaining valuable insight into how children with additional needs are supported. As part of their role. Students supervise and interact with students during Oasis Club—a club designed to provide students with additional needs the opportunity to socialise, interact with one another, and enjoy playing board games in a supportive environment.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.
