Year 12s Actively Participate in Research Studies
Students across the Social Sciences department have begun settling into their studies at this level. With many students studying brand new subjects for the first time, this can be exciting but also scary, so we are PROUD that we facilitate opportunities for students to really get to know their chosen subject well. In Psychology, this means students actively taking part in research studies. Currently studying the ‘Memory’ unit, students have put their own short-term memories to the test and for the ‘Social Psychology’ unit they have actively participated in Asch's infamous study of Conformity. For this, the majority of students in the class acted as confederates to see if one student (a true participant) would conform to their unanimous wrong answers, when judging line lengths.
