Game On! Year 12 Psychology Students Turn Revision into Play
Our Year 12 Psychology students have been putting their creativity and learning to the test in a truly innovative way! As part of their Unit 1 revision, in preparation for mocks after the Easter holidays, students designed and created their very own educational board games. This allowed them to combine their understanding of psychological concepts with teamwork and strategic thinking.
This challenged students to think beyond traditional study methods. Each game was carefully crafted to include key topics from the Unit 1, such as memory, attachment, clinical psychology and social influence. Players tested their knowledge, answered questions, and completed challenges – all while having fun and reinforcing their learning.
Students showcased a range of inventive ideas, to test understanding of psychological content. Teachers noted that this not only encouraged deeper comprehension but also sparked enthusiasm for collaborative learning.
This highlights how creative approaches may also enhance academic success, demonstrating that revision doesn’t have to be boring!
