Eastbrook School Borough Athletics Report

We recently took a group of our school children to the Borough Athletics competition, and I am delighted to say that everyone performed brilliantly. The pupils showed great determination, sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the event, and we are incredibly PROUD of their efforts.

In particular, two students stood out for their outstanding achievements. David put in a fantastic performance in the shot putt, securing 3rd place in a highly competitive field. Godwin also excelled, coming 2nd in the 100m sprint and 3rd in the shot putt. His impressive results have earned him the honour of being selected to represent Barking and Dagenham at the Essex Schools competition.

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff. The primary school opened in 2016 and is growing in size year on year. The secondary school transferred into new, state of the art buildings in 2017, benefiting from purpose-built specialist learning environments with industry level resources and outstanding access to green outdoor spaces.

Eastbrook is a thriving and growing community school, welcoming students from a broad range of backgrounds, culturally, economically and in terms of need.
