Viva Volcano
Before half term, all Year 8 Geography students completed their first Viva examination, based on the topic of tectonic hazards. The aim of a Viva examination is to orally demonstrate your knowledge of the subject. Students prepared for the examination by producing either a volcanic model and/or a poster about a volcano of their choice. Students then prepared a 2-minute speech which they presented to their peers. At the end of the examination, students had to respond to two questions, again demonstrating their knowledge and understanding.
As a department, we are very PROUD of every single student who participated. We were amazed with students’ dedication, effort, enthusiasm and delivery of their Viva examination in Geography. We would like to give an extra PROUD shout out to the following students:
David (8A), Skyla-Hope (8A), Maryam (8B), Lois (8E), Leni (8C), Arren (8G), Isaac (8G) , Emmanuel (8G), Owen (8C), Ioan (8C), Tania (8B), Rebecca (8D), Safa (8F), Fariza (8D), Harry (8D) and Jacie-Li (8C).
Well done, all your Geography teachers are very PROUD of you all!!
