Fantastic Fieldwork Exploring Essex

18 Jul

On Thursday 10th July 2025, Year 10 GCSE Geography students visited Southend to collect their data in preparation for paper 3. In the morning, students focused on coastal management strategies investigating the effectives of groynes, sea walls and rock armour. In the afternoon, students investigated the impacts of tourism in the area focusing on land use, pedestrian counts, and environmental impacts. Students also had the opportunity to conduct questionnaires to investigate people’s perception of the area and how it has changed over time.

Congratulations to Ummusulaym, Binto, Ryan O and Tigerlilly who successfully completed their fieldwork booklets to a very high standard earning a small reward for their positive effort and attitude to learning. Well done Year 10 Geographers; we are PROUD!!
