Eastbrook Young Geographers

08 Jul

For the remainder of the term, our Key Stage 3 Geography students will be working on their entries for the Young Geographers’ Royal Geographical Society competition where they will be exploring the unique geographical, cultural and environmental aspects of islands around the world.

This year’s theme is ‘Understanding Islands’. With nearly 670,000 islands on our planet, each has a distinct landscape, culture and challenge. Some islands are lush and full of biodiversity, while others face threats like rising sea levels or resource scarcity. How do islands connect through Geography? How do they tackle shared challenges?

We look forward to receiving all your entries! The best entries will be forwarded into the national competition. Good luck!!
