Bringing Geography to life
Year 10 GCSE Geography students recently visited Southend-on-Sea as part of their preparation for the AQA GCSE Geography Paper 3 examination. During the field-trip, students investigated the effectiveness of coastal management strategies along the coastline and examined the impacts of tourism on the local area. Through data collection, observations and fieldwork techniques, students gained valuable first-hand experience of geographical enquiry, helping them to develop their understanding of key topics and prepare for the fieldwork questions in their GCSE examinations. Students thoroughly enjoyed the trip and took part with enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day. They represented the school brilliantly, and we are very PROUD of them for their excellent behaviour and positive attitude to learning.
