Exploring Historical Documents at The National Archives

06 Jan

Year 8 and 9 historians visited The National Archives at Kew. They explored primary documents relating to the Suffragettes and specifically, the secret service records that detailed their actions and monitored their movements over 100 years ago. It was fascinating to hear about the lives of those brave women and students took part in a workshop that investigated the individual lives of those to campaigned and fought for the right to vote. Eastbrook historians engaged brilliantly, asking lots of questions and conducting themselves with respect. The staff at Kew commented how brilliant our pupils were. Well done Eastbrook historians – we are PROUD!
