Super Session Study Time – Sixth Form Style
Year 11 English Literature students attended a revision Super Session delivered by the English Department in our bespoke Sixth Form area.
Scheduled the day before their second English Literature exam, the session focused on the text of J.B. Priestley’s An Inspector Calls and explored ‘Big Ideas’ about characters and themes to support students in their revision for the exam. It also reminded students how they should structure essays and what they would be assessed on.
The session was delivered lecture style, with the added value of giving our Year 11s a taste of what’s to come for them when they enter the Sixth Form, and we are PROUD of the students’ conduct and engagement. All students took home a revision booklet with lots of examples of essay style answers which they could read through the night before the big exam!
One of our prefects, Chloe in Year 11, said that she found the session: “really useful as a way of supporting me with my revision and exam planning”.
Good luck to all our Year 11s and Year 13s in their upcoming exams!
