Year 12 and 13 Students Explore Mental Health Awareness

Our Year 12 and 13 students have been engaging in important conversations around mental health as part of our Mental Health Day activities. Through assemblies and tutor time sessions, students have explored this year’s theme, “Global Overwhelm”, which highlights the importance of recognising the impact of global events on our wellbeing and the need to reach out and support one another.

Discussions have focused on how world events can affect our mental health, recognising when someone may be struggling, and the value of checking in with friends, family, or peers. Students were encouraged to remember that even a simple conversation can make a significant difference to someone’s day.

By taking part in these activities, our Sixth Form students have not only deepened their understanding of mental health but also strengthened our community’s culture of care and support. We hope everyone feels inspired to reach out and check in with someone this week—and beyond.
