Year 11 Prefect Announcement Ceremony – A Celebration of Leadership and Service

07 Nov

The Year 11 assembly on Thursday 16th October marked a truly memorable and inspiring moment at Eastbrook School as we proudly announced our new team of Year 11 Prefects. The atmosphere in the hall was filled with excitement, anticipation, and pride as students were recognised for their dedication, character, and leadership potential.

Being appointed as a Prefect is one of the greatest honours a student can achieve at Eastbrook. It reflects not only academic commitment, but also the trust and respect earned through consistent effort, kindness, and integrity. Prefects embody the values we hold dear as a school - PROUD, service, respect, and community - and are role models for their peers and the younger students who look up to them.

The role of a Prefect is about service to others. Service to their peers, to their teachers, and to the wider school community. Whether it’s helping to organise events, supporting younger students in their learning and wellbeing, or contributing thoughtful ideas to improve school life, prefects play a vital part in shaping the culture of our community. Their leadership helps to make Eastbrook not only a place of learning, but also a place of kindness, inclusion, and pride.

A particular highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of our new Senior Student Leadership Team:

  • Head Boy – Muhammad K
  • Head Girl – Caitlin K
  • Deputy Head Boy – Andrew T
  • Deputy Head Girl – Aaliyah K

These students have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and will now take on the responsibility of representing the student voice, supporting school initiatives, and inspiring their peers through their actions and example.

Congratulations to all our newly appointed Prefects and Senior Leaders. We look forward to seeing you lead with pride, inspire others, and continue to make Eastbrook School a community where everyone can thrive.
