Preparing for Year 10 GCSE Media Studies Exam

After half term, Year 10 Media Studies students will sit their first mock exam. This combined Media Paper 1 and 2 will be sat in the hall at 2pm on the 21st April 2026.

The paper will synthesise all of the students’ learning so far, from September to February, with questions about Newspapers, Advertising (Represent and OMO) and The Film Industry. There will also be one ‘unseen’ question, which asks students to analyse and explain the meanings of a print advertisement, or a magazine cover, that they have not seen or studied before.

Miss Wood has sent every Media Studies student home with a revision booklet, with additional resources being available in the school library. However, she would like to remind her class that their exercise books are the best form of revision!!!
