Year One Celebrate Bonfire Night with Firework Art

Our Year One class has been learning all about Bonfire Night and enjoying a burst of creativity along the way! The children explored the sights and sounds of fireworks and talked about why Bonfire Night is celebrated, including how people mark the occasion safely.

Inspired by the colourful displays, the class created their own firework artwork using oil pastels and glitter. The children experimented with bold lines, bright colours and sparkling effects to represent fireworks lighting up the night sky. The finished pieces are full of energy and imagination, and the children were very PROUD to share their work. It has been a fun and creative way to learn about this special event!

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family.
