Computing – Our Bee-Bot Treasure Hunt!

This week in Computing, we have been learning about algorithms, programming and debugging using our Bee-Bots!

The children put their problem-solving skills to the test by creating a sequence of instructions to guide their Bee-Bots around a treasure map to find the hidden treasure. They explored how to give clear instructions, predict where their Bee-Bot would travel and debug their programmes when things didn’t go to plan.

The children had lots of fun developing their computational thinking skills and learning that sometimes we need to make changes to our instructions to reach our goal!

Eastbrook School is an Ofsted rated Good, all-through school in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and is part of the Barking Abbey family. Founded in 1933, Eastbrook has a well-established history of serving the local community, with many generations of families attending as students and even joining as staff.
