Apollo SEMH Class – Cooking and Life Skills
The children in Apollo SEMH class took part in an engaging and practical cooking lesson today, where they learned how to make squash.
The children were taught how to measure and mix the correct consistency of juice and water, developing their understanding of quantities, ratios and following simple instructions. They were encouraged to work with an adult 1:1.
Cooking lessons provide valuable opportunities for our children to develop important life skills that they can use both in school and at home. Activities such as measuring, preparing food, following instructions, making choices and safely using equipment help to build confidence, independence and a sense of responsibility.
The children were highly engaged throughout the lesson and enjoyed seeing the end result of their hard work. It was fantastic to see them developing practical skills while learning in a fun, hands-on environment.
Well done, Mr Saharan and Apollo SEMH! 🧃👏
