Apollo Outdoor Play Area Takes Off

10 Jun

The Apollo play area has been significantly enhanced with a wide range of new resources designed to support and enrich children's learning and development through play.

We have purchased a variety of equipment, including musical instruments for a music wall, as well as tubes, funnels, and jugs to create an interactive water wall. New physical development resources include Velcro discs and balls, a football net, basketball net, and bowling equipment to encourage active play and coordination skills.

To support imaginative play, we have added role-play clothing, mirrors, and a new play kitchen. We have also introduced large construction bricks and a wheelbarrow to help create a construction area where children can develop teamwork, problem-solving, and gross motor skills. Our creative and sensory provision has been enhanced with a wide selection of new materials and resources for the sensory trays, providing children with opportunities to explore, investigate, and express their creativity.

The next stage of development will focus on enhancing the growing area, where children will have the opportunity to plant, nurture, and grow a variety of plants, helping them learn about nature, responsibility, and the environment. These improvements aim to provide a stimulating, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports all areas of children's learning and development.
