Virtual Meetings – Guidance for students

As we continue to work through the challenges of learning during lockdown, we feel it is often useful for teachers to be able to hold ‘face to face’ online meetings with groups of students. This might be in a ‘Subject Surgery’ where teachers will hold ‘virtual’ discussions with student groups about how to improve the work they have submitted to them and what the next learning steps are. It might also be in a ‘Group Tutorial’ where tutors will work through elements of Character Education with their tutor group.

However, whatever the reason for the meeting, it extremely important that students are clear about what we expect of them during these virtual meetings. Follow the link below for a summary of our protocols and expectations – your teachers will also go through them with you at the start of any meeting you join.
