Maths online learning offer

The Maths department have been enjoying seeing you all online.  You have all been working really well, sending work in through MathsWatch, MyMaths, Pearson ActiveLearn, ShowMyHomework as well as good old fashioned pen and paper.  Please take a look at some of the remote work pictures/screenshot that you’ve all been involved with.

Ms Zimmerman’s class have been working on sequences this term, the class have really enjoyed the interactive matching games and quizzes that have kept you all engaged and learning without even realizing it, that’s all down to you and Ms Zimmerman’s ingenuity.

Mr Khan likes to ‘keep it real’, he expertly launches the interactive whiteboard over the Microsoft Teams meeting and it would seem as if the classroom was bought right to your living room.

Mr Edeko is trialing some new ‘tech’, a collaborative white board where everyone can scribe something on the board, also he has been using the chat feature on MS Teams to get answers from the entire class at the same time, like a virtual mini whiteboard.

Ms Godwin has been keeping score of work completed on MathsWatch as well making sure pupils are kept informed of their assessment scores, she presents the excel file directly on the MS Teams video.  Mr Bamigbola has been using MathsWatch and keeping the class updated with work being submitted and scores shown to the class, as well live feedback to the class during the lesson.

Mr Sardis, Mr DosSantos and Mr Mckenzie have been giving feedback to students on work set via MathsWatch & MyMaths.  Ms Ogunelsi has been conversing on the chat feature on MS Teams to provide feedback to pupils on work shown to her on the screen.

This week, each teacher will provide a Performance Review feedback for each student in Maths, so a quick note to parents to keep an eye out for that on Show My Homework.  We will also be giving feedback to each student in Maths using our Whole Class Feedback that all students are used to, so look out for that in the week ahead.
