Terrific Three Dimensional Shapes

Pupils in Year 3 have been working hard this week in maths, they have been learning the names and properties of 3D shapes. The children have described, drawn and sorted the shapes into Venn diagrams. Finally, today to complete work on 3D shapes they made 3D shapes using marshmallows and spaghetti. It was quite a tricky challenge to make all of the pieces of spaghetti the same size and then stick they with the gooey marshmallows. However, the team work shown and creativity in their results was evident to see!
