Eastbrook pupils have really enjoyed celebrating the coronation of King Charles III! There has been a multitude of activities taking place in school, read on to find out how the day was celebrated…

On Friday, the school was overwhelmed with the response to the ‘Bake Off’ competition! There were so many beautiful, delicious and original cakes brought into school. It was very difficult to judge the competition, as the standards were so high! Eventually Dawed, in Year 5 was crowned the ‘Star Baker’.  There was also a staff competition, there were slightly less entries however, Ms. Bucur-Soare came first.

Some pupils in Year 3 and 4 baked their own cup cakes for their class to enjoy during their street party, the school smelt delicious and the cakes looked superb! Every child also designed their own coronation cake.

Year 3 pupils created a whole class portrait of King Charles, while pupils in Years 4 and 5 made collage silhouettes of the King. They looked superb!

To complete the celebrations pupils in Years 3 and 4 had a class party, pupils sang the national anthem, played games and then had an afternoon tea party.  All the children wore their personally designed royal crowns to the party! All in all, it was a great celebration of a historic event!
