The children in Reception started to prepare for their royal picnic on Thursday afternoon, on the menu were cucumber and cheese sandwiches and blue and red decorated cupcakes. They were able to follow the instructions to make their sandwiches and got very creative decorating their cakes. the children even practiced their royal waves!

A royal picnic needs royal crowns! They were able to create such beautiful sparkly designs, pinching glitter and selecting gems to personalize their head wear ready for their picnic.

A very British day, of course it had to rain, so the picnic was moved inside, smiles were still going as the celebrated together on the classroom floor, nibbling and giggling as they ate they self made picnics. They left excited for their bank holiday weekend ready to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
