This week in Year Three, during their PHSE lessons, the pupils began learning about the importance of having positive relationship with their friends, family and the adults they meet. Their discussion centred on gaining a better understanding of the different roles and responsibilities that people can have.
As a group, the pupils organised jobs and chores by who they thought was the best gender to complete it. The groups we used were male, female and unisex (meaning anyone can do this job whether they are male or female). Once, the pupils completed their activity and they held a passionate discussion with strongly voiced opinions. After which, they realised many roles and responsibilities they have been discussing can in fact be unisex.
