Our monster friend was back in class ready to hear the children in reception’s questions! They had spent the week learning about questions and how we use them to find out something we want to know or learn. They came up with some amazing thoughts, really thinking about what they wanted to learn from a monster. What they ate, who were their friends, when did they come to earth, and what toys they played with. They set off in small groups and showed off their brilliant letter formation and clear finger spaces as they wrote the questions ready for their visit.

When the monster came in the children were very excited to meet them, some were a little shy and shocked by the big orange friend, but everyone came around in the end. The class was able to confidently ask their questions and showed super listening as their friends took turns to meet and question the monster.
