Year 5 and 6 children have been having a fantastic time investigating, designing and building marble runs with Mr Orr. They were set a number of challenges including how long they could make their marble run last, using friction to slow the marble down, moving it around corners and getting it to travel up as well as down.

The children tested different methods for making their runs strong and reliable, including the use of different materials. They also made improvements to their run by adding rough materials to slow the marble down and securing the slides with reinforcements.
