During our Virtues Day pupils chose the name of a peer out of a hat and then performed kind acts towards that person during the day in secret. Some pupils played with others that they had not before, lots of compliments were exchanged and doors were held open for others. Well done super-secret agents of kindness!
Later on, children wrote on their classmates’ backs caring things about them, that they were great authors, brilliant mathematicians etc. Eventually, when pupils took the paper off their back they were delighted to see what their friends thought of them.
Pupils looked at pictures of a school environment that hadn’t been treated very nicely, then they listed all the great things about Eastbrook school: kind staff, our own forest, hot meals and many more facts. Finally, they came up with a list of things that could make Eastbrook school even better! They will pass our list onto Mr. Hollows to see if he can action some of them!
Lastly, the children role played scenarios that involved mistakes being made and they realised that we can learn from mistakes.
